Samsung announced Portable SSD T7 Touch featuring a built-in fingerprint sensor


Samsung has announced a new external storage device known as Portable SSD T7 Touch at CES 2020 in Las Vegas.

The new Portable SSD T7 Touch accompanies a smooth design, lightweight and fast as its predecessor, the feature highlight of the T7 Touch is its built-in fingerprint sensor for data protection.

Samsung Portable SSD T7 Touch is a very slim design

The Portable SSD T7 Touch comes with a lightweight just 58 grams that can fit in your pocket, available in Silver and Black colors. It’s measure 8.5cm x 5.7cm x 0.8cm (long, wide, and thick). The made with solid aluminum casing.

The device offers a square-ish physical fingerprint sensor for data protection. Further, it can recognize up to four fingerprints.

The Portable SSD T7 Touch offers a ‘Motion LED’ to see the status of the device. Also, it supports AES 256-bit hardware encryption and you can protect by a password.

The Portable SSD T7 Touch is very faster

The Portable SSD T7 Touch is very faster than SSD T5, as per Samsung the device gets “fastest transfer speeds currently available based on the USB 3.2 Gen 2 standard.” The device serves 1,050MB/s of reading speed and 1,000MB/s of write speed which is twice faster than SSD T5 and also 9.5 times faster than external HDD.

However, when you use it with the NVMe interface the device reaches its maximum speed. Further, it comes with 500GB, 1TB, and 2TB sizes.

Samsung Portable SSD T7 Touch: Price and release

The Portable SSD T7 Touch will come with the price of Rs. 11,999 for 500GB while the 1TB and 2TB models for Rs. 18,999 and Rs. 36,999 along with three-year of limited warranty.

The device will become available in over 30 countries starting this month and in India, it will release in February.
