Google announced Mobile Recharge service in India for Android


Search giant Google has announced a new service in India for Android user, by using this service you can easily find, compare, and recharge your prepaid mobile using Google mobile search. Basically, this service helps you show you the prepaid plans for all major telecom operators in India like – BSNL, MTNL, Airtel, Vodafone-Idea and Reliance Jio as well.

Note: By default, this Mobile Recharge service is not available on the search page.

How you can start this new service?

In order to access it, you have to search on Google for some common keywords like prepaid mobile recharge, SIM recharge, mobile recharge, etc. After that, you’ll see a square dialog box titled ‘Mobile Recharge’. This result reflects just below the ad links.

How to use it?

Then, you have to fill up your desire mobile number you want to recharge and Google will automatically show the operator and circle. You can manually select the operator and circle if some of the details are wrong.

Interestingly, if you’ve already linked your mobile number to the Gmail account you’re already signed in to, then Google will automatically bring this number by default.

After provided your all details, hit the ‘Browse Plans’ option to see all the prepaid plans provided by that mobile operator including details on validity, calling minutes and data benefits.

After that, choose your desired plan and Google will redirect you to a checkout page where you can choose from various payments get ways like Paytm, Google Pay, etc. to complete the transaction.

However, Google Mobile Recharge service is applicable for Android device

Currently, Google Search Mobile Recharge Service is available for Android users only. If you are an iOS user you may not see the feature yet. But, it is expected that Google to serve this feature for iPhone users soon.
