Xiaomi announced Redmi 8A Dual and two new power banks


Xiaomi-owned Redmi launched a budget-friendly smartphone in India, called Redmi 8A Dual. It is an extended upgrade to Redmi 8. Along with Redmi 8A Dual, the company introduced two new power banks.

Prior, there were theories that the new item could be a RedmiBook 13 PC, yet that didn’t occur.

Redmi 8A Dual looks like Redmi 8

The new Redmi 8A Dual comes with a waterdrop notch display design, just like Redmi 8. However, unlike Redmi 8, the 8A Dual offers a dual-lens camera unit with an LED flash on the rear panel, new color finishes, and an “Aurora X Grip” textured design that is eager to provide improved grip. It has an AI Face unlock feature

This new phone carries a 6.22-inch HD+ (720×1520 pixels) resolution display featuring a 19:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 screen protection.

Redmi 8A Dual has a 13MP main camera

The smartphone gets a dual rear camera including a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensors with the support AI Portrait mode and scene detection.

The handset also provides an 8MP front camera featuring AI Selfie Portrait.

It performs with an entry-level internals

Under the hood, the Redmi 8A Dual is controlled by a Snapdragon 439 processor with 2GB / 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage with expandable capacity up to 512GB via microSD.

You get a solid 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support on this phone.

In terms of connectivity options, the phone supports dual Nano-SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, wireless FM, GPS, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Then, how are the Redmi new power banks

Along with the Redmi 8A Dual phone, the Chinese tech giant also announced two new power banks. One is 10,000mAh unit that can support 10W charging and another is 20,000mAh provides fast-charging up to 18W.

Besides, they are offering dual Type-A input ports, a micro-USB output port, and a Type-C output port and capable for two-way fast charging and you can charge Bluetooth earphones or fitness bands with lower-power mode.

Redme 8A dual and power bank price in India

The Redme 8A dual comes with Sky White, Sea Blue and Midnight Grey color options. The handset available at Rs. 6,499 for the 2GB/32GB variant while the 3GB/32GB model priced Rs. 6,999.

The 10,000mAh power bank comes with the price tag of Rs. 799 and the 20,000mAh model available at Rs. 1,499.

All products will be going on sale from February 18 via Amazon India, Mi.com, and Mi Home stores as well.
