Apple Powerbeats has been launched and officially listed on the Beats by Dre site. The Apple Powerbeats wireless earphones will replace Powerbeat 3. The design of these new earphones retains Powerbeats Pro like, offer up to 15 hours of listening time and they will come with Black, Red, and White color options.
The new Powerbeats earphones are priced at $149.95 for a limited time offer in the USA.
Apple Powerbeats: Design
Design-wise, Apple has made some changes in these Powerbeats earphones while maintaining the usability of the neck-band. In-line volume control and PowerBits 3’s flat cable design have been replaced by PowerBits Pro-like earpieces with a top-mount volume button and a round cable. Further, they come with sweat and water-resistant features.
They pack with the Apple H1 wireless chip
The Powerbeats powered by the Apple H1 chip and wireless Bluetooth (Class 1) which is available in the Powerbeats Pro. This chip lets you improved battery life, lower latency, and even summon Siri.
Powerbeats earphones provide long battery life
The new wireless earphones offer 15 hours of battery life and the company also claims that it will give you 1 hour of playback time with a 5-minute charge (via Lightning port). The earphones come with the support of Fast Fuel charging technology.
It has Audio Sharing technology
It offers multiple on-ear microphones and on-ear controls for adjust volume, skip songs and make calls. Just a button press you can active Siri.
Apple Powerbeats: Price and availability
In the US, the new Powerbeats earphones priced at $149.95 which is $50 cheaper than the previous Powerbeats 3, the price is for a limited time offer. They were spotted at a Walmart store in Rochester, New York. But will eventually be seen on the Beats By Dre site.
As for availability, the 9to5mac report suggests they will be available from March 18.
