Xiaomi sub-brand Black Shark has announced Black Shark 3 and Black Shark 3 Pro flagship gaming smartphones in China. They offer a 90Hz display, a triple rear camera including 64MP main sensor and a flagship Snapdragon 865 processor. However, they come with different memory, screen sizes and battery capacity based on models.
Black Shark 3 and Black Shark 3 Pro: Display
The Black Shark 3 Pro and standard Black Shark 3 retain AMOLED screen featuring a 90Hz refresh rate. As for displays, the previous one has a larger 7.1-inch QHD+ display with a resolution of 1440×3120 pixels and the latter model offers a 6.67-inch full-HD+ display with 1080×2400 pixels display. Both handsets get an in-display fingerprint sensor.
For an enhanced gaming experience the 3 Pro also houses touch-sensitive shoulder pads.
Both gaming phones perform with flagship internals
The Black Shark 3 Pro and the standard Black Shark 3 are powered by the flagship Snapdragon 865 Octa-core processor clocked up to 2.84GHz. They all offer us up to 12GB of (LPDDR5 dual-channel) and up to 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage, while another 8GB/128GB variant of the standard model sports LPDDR4X RAM dual channel.
For advanced heat management, they provide liquid-cooling technology as well.
In terms of battery, the Black Shark 3 Pro supported by a massive 5,000mAh battery, whereas the Black Shark 3 gets a 4,720mAh battery with the support of 65W fast-charging technology. However, the standard Black Shark 3 8GB RAM model packs with a 30W fast-charging technology.
Connectivity options include dual Nano-SIM, 5G, Bluetooth v5.0, Wi-Fi 6 (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax ), a 3.5mm headphone jack and USB Type-C port for fast charging.
They offer a triple-lens rear camera setup
Both models occupied with a triple-lens rear camera setup including a big 64MP (f/1.8) primary sensor, a 13MP (f/2.25) sensor for ultra-wide angle and the third a 5MP (f/2.2) depth lens. Up front, they have a 20MP (f/2.0) selfie shooter.
Both gaming phone prices
As per Weibo post, in China, the Black Shark 3 Pro (8GB/256GB variant) costs CNY 4,699 and the 12GB/256GB model is priced at CNY 4,999, while the Black Shark 3 8GB/128GB variant comes with the price tag of CNY 3,499 and the 12GB/128GB costs CNY 3,799.
Black Shark 3 is ready for pre-orders and will go on sale on March 6.
