Just after unveiled of the iPad Pro 2020 model, now Apple has introduced a new MacBook Air 2020 model. This MacBook Air model is quite similar to last year’s launched MacBook model. However, the new model offers improved Intel Iris Plus graphics, new Intel processors, upgraded RAM, 256GB of base storage, and also all-day battery life. Alongside this, it comes with a new “Magic Keyboard” also. Like the previous model, it comes with the aluminum body.
It available in Gold, Silver, and Space Grey color options and the price of the new model in the US has been set $999 for the base model.
MacBook Air 2020 powered by True Tone technology
This model retains the previous a 13-inch Retina IPS display with 2560×1600 pixels resolution, 227ppi and a 16:10 aspect ratio, and featuring True Tone technology.
Magic Keyboard for fast typing experience
The USP of the MacBook Air 2020 has the Magic Keyboard with 1mm key travels that were launched with the previous 16-inch MacBook Pro. For responsive and quiet typing experience, you get a T arrow key including the “refined scissors” mechanism. Further, the keyboard provides the backlit keys with an ambient light sensor.
Get dual speed with this new MacBook
Besides the new Magic Keyboard, The MacBook Pro retains 10th generation Intel Core processors which deliver twice speed of performance than its predecessor. The base model provides a 1.1GHz dual-core Intel Core i3 and the 1.1GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 options. Additionally, you find Intel Iris Plus graphics which are Thunderbolt 3-enabled external graphics processors supported.
According to Apple, these chips perform with up to 80 percent faster graphics than the previous generation model.
Besides, it has 256GB and 512GB of SSD storage options and can be configured up to 2TB SSD which is double than the previous. The new model also paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM clocked at 3,733MHz.

The new MacBook Air features the Apple T2 Security Chip which did not interfere with the software being loaded during the boot process, data encryption, and supports Touch ID.
The new model also offers Force Touch trackpad and three-mic, like the previous model. For faster data transfer, charging, video it output has a Thunderbolt 3 port and built-in stereo speakers.
Long-life battery capacity
It packs with a built-in 49.9-watt-hour battery (lithium-polymer). On a single charge, it delivers up to 11 hours of wireless Web or up to 30 days of standby time.
Price and shipping
The base model of the MacBook Air 2020 starts at $ 999 and if you want the i7 model then you have to pay $250 more. The 2TB storage model will add $ 800 above the base price for the storage variant.
