Motorola Edge+ flagship launched in India with curved display, SD 865


Motorola Edge+ flagship phone finally has launched in India which went official globally last month along with the Motorola Edge. Based on design the Edge+ brings a punch-hole style waterfall curved design along with a single front shooter. It has a quad rear camera setup on the back and performs with a flagship Qualcomm chip. The smartphone offers us a single storage option and available with Smoky Sangria and Thunder Grey finish.

Motorola Edge+: Design and display

The Motorola phone gets a punch-hole design with a waterfall curved display and a selfie camera locates inside punch-hole. The rear side of the phone houses a quad-camera system with an LED flash. It retains a 6.7-inch full-HD+ “Endless Edge” display that offers a 90Hz refresh rate and supports HDR10+. Besides, there is an in-display fingerprint sensor.

It includes a 108MP primary sensor

The quad-camera setup of the phone featuring a 108MP ( f/1.8) primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens with 117 degrees field of view (FoV), an 8MP (f/2.4) telephoto lens that supports OIS and Time-of-Flight (ToF) sensor.

Motorola added a 25MP (f/2.0) front-facing shooter for handling selfies and making video calls.

The phone packs with a top-of-the-line system chip

The Edge+ is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor that intrigued 5G connectivity. As for storage space, the smartphone has 12GB RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.0 onboard storage with non-expandable capacity. In terms of software, it runs on Android 10 and provides a 5,000mAh battery with the support of 18W TurboPower wired charging, 18W wireless charging as well as 5W wireless reverse charging.

For enhancing the audio experience, Motorola uses dual stereo speakers tuned by Waves.

The phone supports single-SIM (Nano), 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth v5.1, Wi-Fi 6, USB Type-C port, GPS, A-GPS, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Alongside, it has an accelerometer, gyroscope, ambient light, and a proximity sensor.

Filially, the device is 161.1×71.4×9.6mm in size and weighs 203 grams.

Price in India and launch offers

The Motorola Edge+ priced in India at Rs. 74,999 for the single 12GB/256GB configuration and it is listed on Flipkart for purchase starting May 26 but pre-order has started from today.
