Apple has unveiled a Translate app like Google’s Translate app which will come with iOS 14. The Apple Translate app provides translations in two languages and supports 11 languages. You can translate voice and text via its offline mode feature and the app also works in landscape mode on suitable iPhone models. Accordingly, you can view history or save translated phrases with the “favourites” option.

As mentioned the new Apple Translate app is preloaded with the latest iOS 14 and it comes with the support of 11 languages like – English, French, Chinese, Russian, Spanish, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Portuguese. The interface of the app is side-by-side translations in two languages. Moreover, it comes with landscape mode for suitable iPhone models.
It features a Conversation mode that allows you to use an in-app microphone for automatic language detection and able to download languages in offline mode or no internet connection. Apple uses an advanced on-device intelligence that allows users to translate their voice from one language to another language.
In addition, there is an option called “favourites” to view history or save translated phrases. The new Apple Translation app also has an inbuilt dictionary so that users can see the definition of a word without leaving the platform. This feature can only be used by tapping a word.

With the new iPadOS 14 update users can translate entire web pages into Safari. Apple will add a translation icon in the address field to translate entire web pages. But if you belong from the US and Canada then you can access these features.
The company is improving Siri translation as a whole which can now support more than 65 language pairs. Moreover, the new update will bring more language support for both Siri and Translate app.
