Vivo just announced its Vivo Y50 smartphone in India. To recall this phone was originally launched in Cambodia earlier April. Like the Cambodia-specific model, the phone has launched in India with the same design and specifications. Based on the design it gets a punch-hole style with a single front camera whereas it houses a quad rear camera system on the back. It brings a single storage option and energized by a Qualcomm chip and presents Blue and Pearl White color options.
Vivo Y50: At a glance
As mentioned, the phone comes with a punch-hole design and houses a single selfie camera inside the cutout. In the back panel, it sports a quad-rear camera unit along with an LED flash and provides a physical fingerprint sensor. Vivo included a 6.53-inch full HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio.
The rear and front sensors details
It is featuring a 13MP main shooter paired with an 8MP wide-angle sensor with 120 degrees field-of-view (FoV), a 2MP portrait lens, and another 2MP macro sensor that has 4cm focal length. Inside the punch-hole cutout, a 16MP front camera also sits for handling selfies and video calling also.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 couple with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage with a dedicated slot for expandable up to 256GB. The device runs Android with Funtouch 10 and there is a 5,000mAh battery. Sadly, it doesn’t come with fast charging support.
It carries a dual-SIM (Nano), 4G LTE, Bluetooth, dual-band Wi-Fi, GPS, a USB Type-C port, and a headphone jack. Onboard sensors are included such as an accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor.
Price in India and sale
The Vivo Y50 was launched in Cambodia with a price tag of $249. However, in India, it will be available at Rs. 17,990 for the 8GB/128GB storage option. The sale will take place on June 10 Amazon, Flipkart, and Vivo India E-Store. It will also available on offline retail outlets.
