Xiaomi finally announced its first laptops in India, namely Mi Notebook 14 and Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition. Both laptops are powered by the 10th-gen Intel Core processors along with optional Nvidia GeForce graphics. As the name suggests they get the same 14-inch screen. To enable video conferencing, the notebooks offer USB webcam that means there is no built-in webcam for each machine. In-addition, Xiaomi brings a unique Mi Blaze Unlock feature.
Mi Notebook 14: Specifications and features
This notebook comes in the country with 3mm of thin bezels compact design along with Silent and Performance modes. It includes a 14-inch full-HD (1,920×1,080 pixels) resolution display that has a 16:9 aspect ratio and 60Hz refresh rate. The keyboard gets a touchpad function.
Under the hood, the device is powered by the 10th-gen Intel Core i5 processor that has 1600GHz of base clock speed along with 4200GHz burst clock speed and comes with up to Nvidia GeForce MX250 graphics, paired with 8GB of DDR4 RAM and up to 512GB of SATA SSD storage.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t carry a built-in webcam, but Xiaomi bundled a USB webcam.
The Xiaomi laptop runs Windows 10 Home edition operating system and on a single charge, it suggests to deliver up to 10 hours of life. It supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5.0 and available ports are 3 USP ports, one USB 2.0, two USB 3.1 Type-A, and an HMDI port. Plus, there is a headphone jack and combo Mic jack. As for audio, there are two stereo speakers.
Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition: Details
This model gets a metallic chassis with a mixture of aluminium and magnesium. The footprint of the 13.3-inch notebook has been proposed despite the inclusion of a 14-inch display. Additionally, you’ll find a 3mm bezel and it has a chiclet-style keyboard with scissor mechanism as well as 1.3mm key travel.
Like the Notebook 14, the Horizon Edition also featuring a 14-inch full-HD (1,920×1,080 pixels) anti-glare IPS display including 91% of screen-to-body ratio, 60Hz refresh rate, and 178-degree viewing angles.
It gets power from the Intel Core i5-10210U and Intel Core i7-10510U processor options with onboard graphics or Nvidia GeForce MX350 GPU. The machine paired with 8GB of DDR4 RAM and offers up to 512GB of NVMe M.2 SSD storage that has a bandwidth of 3,000MB/s. For video conferencing, it also has a bundled USB webcam.
Connectivity options are Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth v5.0 supported. Furthermore, available ports are a USB 2.0 port, two USB 3.1 ports, and for file transfer and fast charging, there is a USB Type-C port.
You can unlock the laptop without entering the password just place your MI Band 3 or MI Band 4 near your device then it will unlock within 1.2 seconds thanks to the Mi Blaze Unlock function. Note: This unlocks function also available on the Notebook 14 model. Moreover, Xiaomi has introduced a Mi Quickshare option with this laptop.
It includes a 46Wh battery that delivers up to 10 hours of life on a single charge and takes only 35mins for 0 to 50% charge.
Both notebooks price in India and launch offers
The Mi Notebook 14 price starts at Rs. 41,999 for the 256GB SSD model and Rs. 44,999 for the 512GB SSD variant. Also, the Nvidia GeForce MX250 GPU included model cost is Rs. 47,999. Both models’ prices are introductory promotional until July 16 after that the company will increase the price of each laptop.
The Horizon Edition price starts at Rs. 54,999 for the Core i5 model and the Core i7 variant is available at Rs. 59,999.
All laptops will be a sale on starting June 17 via Amazon, Mi.com, Mi Home stores, and Mi Studios. As well as, they will be available on offline retail channels.
