Dell announced XPS 13 and XPS 15 laptops in India – Full details


Dell finally announced its XPS 13 and Dell XPS 15 premium laptops in India. Both laptops are powered by the 10th generation Intel processor. Dell XPS 13 and XPS 15 come with a 4K display featuring HDR 400 panel. As for audio the XPS 13 model includes dual 2.5W stereo speakers and provides up to 18 hours of battery. The XPS 15 variant delivers up to 24 hours of battery life. Specifications wise two laptops almost the same.

This model retains thinner bezels as well as a unique bezel thickness from all sides. It has a 13.3-inch display that goes up to UHD+ ( 3,840 x 2,400 pixels) resolution and packs with 500nits of brightness. Plus the XPS 13 offers 1500:1 contrast ratio, and 91.5 percent screen-to-body ratio. The fingerprint sensor is located on the power button.

Under the hood, the device is powered by the 10th-gen Intel Core processor, running all the way from Intel Core i3 (1005G1) to quad-core Intel Core i7 (1065G7). The Dell XPS 13 can be configured with up to 32GB of LPDDR4X RAM and Intel Iris Plus graphics and goes up to 2TB PCIe (3×4) SSD storage.

The Dell laptops get dual stereo speakers (2.5W) with Waves MaxxAudio Pro tuning. There is a 52WHr battery with a 45W AC adapter, can deliver up to 18 hours on a Full HD+ model as well as up to 12 hours for the UHD variant.

As far as connectivity options, it has Bluetooth 5 chip, Killer Wi-Fi 6, USB Type-C port for charging, Thunderbolt 3 ports, a microSD card reader, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It is only 14.8x296x199mm in size and weighs1.2 Kg.

Dell XPS 15: Specifications and features

The XPS 15 also comes with thinner bezels style and has a 15.6-inch InfinityEdge display with a 16:10 aspect ratio as well as protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. The touchscreen display offers a 4K UHD+ (3840×2400 pixels) resolution while non-touchscreen option provides a Full-HD+ (1920×1200 pixels) resolution.

The laptop is powered by the 10th-generation Intel Core i5-10300H while the base variant goes up to the 10th-generation Intel Core i9-10885H and up to 32GB of DDR4 SDRAM. Configured up to Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Ti GPU and for storage, it provided up to 1TB of PCIe 3 SSD storage.

The device runs on Windows 10 Home operating system and includes a 56Whr battery on the non-touch and an 86Whr battery on the touchscreen variant. It delivers up to 24 hours on the Full HD+ model whereas up to 13 hours on the UHD+ version.

For connectivity, it has Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 6, two Thunderbolt 3 ports, and a USB Type-C 3.1 port for power deliver and support Display Port. The machine measures 344.72×230.14x18mm and weighs up to 2.05 Kg.

The XPS 13 model price starts at Rs. 1,44,807 and the XPS 15 model comes with the starting price of Rs. 1,86,072. The UHD model of the Dell XPS 13 cost is Rs. 2,10,990 via Amazon India. The Dell XPS 15 models are coming soon.
