The iPhone 12 Mini is the smallest and cheapest model, the iPhone 12 is designed as an upgrade to the iPhone 11 and the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max respectively to the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max. All models of the iPhone 12 lineup come with 5G support and work on Apple’s A14 Bionic chip. Also, they run with iOS 14 OS.

Pre-orders of the iPhone 12 Mini in the global market including the US will start from November 6, on the other hand, the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro will be offered for pre-order from October 16. The high-end iPhone 12 Pro Max will come on pre-order from 13 November. The iPhone 12 Mini variant will be available for sale from November 13, while the sale of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro will begin on October 23 and the iPhone 12 Pro Max will begin on November 20. Information on the sale of these models in India is not currently available.
iPhone 12 series: Specifications (iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max)
In this series, all models come with a Super Retina XDR OLED display – with a ceramic shield glass cover on top. All new iPhone models get a notch design.
The iPhone 12 mini provides a 5.4-inch size screen, while the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro come with the same 6.1-inch screen size. The largest variant is the iPhone 12 Pro Max, which has a 6.7-inch display.
The new models work on the A14 Bionic chipset with a fourth-generation Neural Engine. The 2020 iPhone series also offer 5G support, however, this cannot be exploited in India at the moment, as the 5G network has not started in the country at present, the American variants of the iPhone 12 series support a faster MMWave 5G network.
Talking about the camera, The iPhone 12 Mini and iPhone 12 feature 12-megapixel dual rear cameras with wide-angle (f/1.6) and ultra-wide-angle (f/2.4) lens. Besides, the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max include 12-megapixel rear camera setup, with a wide-angle (f / 1.6), ultra-wide (f/2.4), and an additional telephoto lens (f /2.0 in the Pro and Pro Max includes f/2.2).
The camera setup includes improved autofocus in low light (and night-mode portraits), LiDAR scanners for better photography, and augmented reality (AR). The iPhone 12 Pro Max also offers a 47% larger wide camera sensor. The Pro variant offers 4x optical zoom, while the iPhone 12 Pro Max offers 5x optical zoom with a telephoto sensor.
Talking about battery life, the iPhone 12 mini claims that it can provide up to 15 hours of video playback, while the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro will get 17 hours of video playback.
The iPhone 12 Pro Max claims to have “the longest battery life available on the iPhone”, that is, 20 hours of video playback. They support MagSafe wireless charging (as much as 15W) and Chi wireless charging (as much as 7.5W). Apple has offered advanced wireless charging support on the iPhone 12 Series, which supports the Magnetic Charger that comes with the MagSafe branding.
