Samsung debuts its Galaxy M31 Prime edition smartphone yesterday, “a special edition smartphone in partnership with Amazon.in in the festive season”. You will get some pre-installed Amazon ecosystem apps, along with a three-month Prime membership. The Galaxy M31 Prime edition features a waterdrop notch design for the selfie camera. While on the back it has a quad rear camera system and comes with one RAM and storage configuration. The phone offers Ocean Blue, Space Black, and a new Iceberg Blue color options.
Galaxy M31 Prime edition price in India and sale
The single 6GB RAM and 128GB storage option of the Samsung Galaxy M31 Prime price is Rs 16,499. The phone will start selling from October 17 to Amazon’s regular customers. However, Amazon Prime customers will get access to the sale on October 16. Prime members will also get Amazon Pay cashback of Rs 1,000 on any prepaid payment to this phone on October 16. The phone will also be sold through Samsung.com.
During the Amazon Great Indian Festival, customers will also get instant cashback of an additional 10% on HDFC credit and debit cards.
Samsung Galaxy M31 Prime: Design and display
The Samsung phone features a waterdrop notch style design for the selfie camera. The rear-side of it includes a quad-camera unit, an LED flash, and a fingerprint sensor. The phone has a 6.4-inch Full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) Infinity U display and gets a Super AMOLED panel with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9.
A 64MP main camera
The rear camera comes with the setup of a 64-megapixel primary camera with a Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor. The camera setup also has an 8-megapixel secondary camera, a 5-megapixel macro shooter, and a 5-megapixel depth camera. Within the notch, it houses a 32-megapixel selfie shooter.
As for camera features it uses Live focus, bokeh effects, night mode, and super slow-mo.
Exynos 9611 processor
The device is powered by the in-house Exynos 9611 processor with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. You may expand the storage option up to 512GB.
It runs Android 10 with One UI 2.1 and provides a 6,000mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging.
As for the partnership with Amazon, the Galaxy M31 Prime installed the “Always On” Amazon shopping app, which can be accessed by right-swiping on the home screen. It also shows updates of new and trending items on Amazon on the lock screen. Moreover, you get a pre-installed folder including Amazon Shopping, Amazon Prime Video, Amazon Prime Music, Audible, and Kindle apps.
